Internship-Commercial Intelligence Analyst

Role Summary
The Commercial Intelligence Analyst Intern will help Arclin build a robust, repeatable, and sustainable reporting system that tracks and interprets competitive products entering North America from global manufacturers across Arclin’s engaged markets—particularly those aligned with our own product portfolio. This work will enable data‑informed commercial decisions and visibility for leadership and cross‑functional partners. This role is within our Specialized Materials Department. This can be a remote opportunity-given the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and document data sources (public, third‑party, and internal) relevant to global competitor products moving into North America in Arclin’s markets.
  • Design and pilot a repeatable reporting framework (data intake, transformation, quality checks, outputs) that can be sustained by the business post‑internship.
  • Build dashboards and/or scheduled reports that surface trends, volumes, and competitive signals; prepare concise readouts for leadership.
  • Partner with the Specialized Materials team and mentor to validate assumptions, align metrics, and iterate deliverables.
  • Document methodology, data dictionaries, and maintenance SOPs to ensure long‑term sustainability. As it relates to repeatable and sustainable reporting systems.
Qualifications
Required
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and comfort working with datasets.
  • Proficiency with AI tools including Claude
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills; ability to translate findings into actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; collaborative working style.
Preferred
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and/or basic SQL.
  • Familiarity with competitive intelligence, trade/import data, industry market research, or secondary research techniques.
  • Exposure to building reporting pipelines, dashboards, or KPI frameworks.

Duration & Schedule
  • 10–12 weeks (customize as needed), full‑time during summer or part‑time during academic term.
  • Flexible hours to accommodate academic schedules, with core collaboration times set with the Alpharetta team.
Compensation & Work Authorization
  • Paid internship -rate depends on experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
  • The anticipated hourly rate and range for this position is $20.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
