Overview

Nepenthe Wellness Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our interventional psychiatry program on a PRN basis.

This is a hybrid role combining telehealth care with onsite treatment days, working with patients receiving advanced therapies including IV ketamine, Spravato®, and TMS.

We are a patient-first, hospitality-driven clinic focused on delivering high-quality care in a calm, supportive environment — particularly for individuals with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and a strong population of Veterans.

This role is best suited for clinicians who combine clinical skill with exceptional bedside manner, and who understand that patient experience is just as important as clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth evaluations and follow-ups
• Review patient history and determine treatment eligibility
• Independently start IVs for ketamine treatments
• Administer and monitor IV ketamine treatments
• Support Spravato® and TMS treatment workflows as needed
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to protocols
• Provide a calm, reassuring, and patient-centered experience during treatment
• Educate patients on treatment expectations and outcomes
• Complete accurate documentation and required forms
• Collaborate with clinical and operations teams

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP, FNP, or other NP specialties welcome)
• DEA license (if prescribing)
• Must be able to independently start IVs
• Experience administering IV ketamine (REQUIRED)
• Strong bedside manner and patient communication skills
• Ability to create a safe, supportive, and respectful patient experience
• Comfortable working in outpatient behavioral health settings
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Experience with Spravato® and/or TMS
• Background in mental or behavioral health
• Experience working with Veterans or trauma-related conditions

Schedule & Compensation

• PRN / Part-time
• Combination of telehealth and onsite clinic days
• $85/hour
• Flexible scheduling based on clinic needs
