Position Overview

We’re seeking an Inventory Analyst to join our Minneapolis team supporting Target, working alongside our talented team of professionals dedicated to exceptional service and growth for both our clients and retail partners. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert on supply chain, inventory management, and data analytics, collaborating closely with Target’s merchandising teams, our internal Sales & Account Managers, and vendor teams to drive impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Synthesize sales, inventory, and demand data to deliver actionable insights that support key business initiatives and long-term growth strategies
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities, inventory risks, and demand imbalances; develop and recommend data-driven solutions to optimize in-stock, turns, and profitability
  • Lead forecasting and management of promotional spend, ensuring vendors maximize sales impact while remaining aligned to budget and ROI expectations
  • Partner cross-functionally to inform promotional planning, assortment decisions, and inventory strategies through disciplined analysis and scenario modeling
  • Monitor performance against forecasts and plans, quickly identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to vendors and retailer partners by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Ensure high levels of vendor satisfaction by delivering consistent, value-added insights, strong execution, and reliable analytical support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailer contacts, leveraging available tools and resources to establish a reputation for excellent service and positive referrals

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant retail experience, including forecasting and data analytics required; Target experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and interpret data from multiple sources
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI and Partners Online a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building abilities with a customer-focused approach
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
This is a hybrid position based in Minneapolis, MN requiring employees to be present in the office 3 days per week with flexibility to work remotely on other days.
