As we scale our production kitchen and meal delivery operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to ensure accurate ingredient tracking, cost control, and inventory efficiency.

Position Overview

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing ingredient and packaging inventory across our production kitchen using MarketMan, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels, usage, purchasing, and waste.

This role plays a critical part in controlling food costs, preventing shortages, improving forecasting, and maintaining operational efficiency as Healthy Tiffin scales.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management

  • Maintain and update ingredient and packaging inventory in MarketMan
  • Monitor daily inventory usage and reconcile theoretical vs actual consumption
  • Conduct and supervise weekly and monthly inventory counts
  • Ensure accurate unit conversions, recipe yields, and item mappings in the system
  • Track batch production and ingredient depletion

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Analyze food cost variances and identify drivers of discrepancies
  • Generate inventory and food cost reports for management
  • Monitor waste, spoilage, and shrinkage trends
  • Recommend cost-saving improvements in purchasing and usage

Purchasing Coordination

  • Coordinate with purchasing and kitchen teams to ensure optimal stock levels
  • Monitor reorder points and assist in vendor ordering planning
  • Validate vendor invoices against received inventory
  • Maintain vendor price updates in MarketMan

Operational Process Improvements

  • Improve inventory workflows for production kitchens
  • Ensure proper receiving procedures and accurate data entry
  • Standardize labeling, storage, and FIFO processes
  • Assist in implementing best practices for inventory tracking

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
  • Kitchen production teams
  • Procurement
  • Finance/accounting
  • Operations management

Qualifications

Required

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in inventory management, food operations, or supply chain
  • Experience using inventory management software (MarketMan or similar preferred)
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Preferred

  • Experience in commercial kitchens, meal prep companies, or restaurants
  • Understanding of recipe costing and food production workflows
  • Familiarity with ERP or POS integrations
  • Experience with high-volume food operations

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
