Summary
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for purchasing raw materials, products, and supplies. Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.

Required Experiences:

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in operating forklifts and/or certification
  • Experience in inventory control
  • High school diploma or GED


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
  • Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
  • Assisting in developing or improving upon inventory management procedures.
  • Stocking and distributing materials or supplies.
  • Entering and verifying inventory and supply orders.
  • Any other duties assigned by leadership team.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb,
    stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to lift, feel, handle or free objects.
  • The employee must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as well
    as wet weather.
  • The use of common hand tools and occasionally sharp tools are involved.
  • The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees.
  • The employee must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds often.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
    peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • All employees must wear company-approved safety glasses and steel toe boots while in the plant and waregouse areas.
