Inventory Clerk manages, tracks, and maintains the company’s stock, ensuring accurate records, proper storage, and timely reports of daily counts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cycle Counts material in various warehouses and locations for accuracy, posts totals to inventory records, and resolves discrepancies.
- Assist in preparation of warehouse for year-end physical inventory.
- Process customer and vendor returns, including working with the QA, Customer Service, and Product Management departments.
- Resolves inventory discrepancies such as lot numbers, quantities, bin locations, etc., as reported by warehouse Material Handlers or other warehouse/production personnel.
- Update Bin locations in the database based on Material Handler stock movement sheets.
- Compile and enter daily operations data into the monthly report spreadsheet.
- Assists in the management of the Quarantine area inventory by working with Product Managers and QA departments.
- Attend monthly complaint and non-compliant inventory meetings.
- Back up for receiving duties
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:
- 1+ years of inventory control experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred
- Stand-up Forklift experience
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple inventories simultaneously
- Excellent math skills and utilize sound judgment and reasoning capabilities to resolve problems.
- Interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and in a team environment
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office tools
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
- Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
- Ability to stand for an extended periods of time
- Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask
- Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require
