Summary:
The Inventory Control Analyst Supervisor will provide daily reporting and recommendations for material sourcing, working with parts vendor management and parts inventory control activities at all Ohio Machinery locations. This position will report and provide adequate material availability, balanced with investment levels, conducive to profitable operations as well as ensuring consistent and accurate inventories for the parts department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors part stocking levels and ensures that replenishment orders are placed promptly.
  • Monitors inventory control analytics and backorder analytics to ensure orders are placed with suppliers daily and that back-ordered items are expedited per customer requirements, participating in the execution of these activities as required for the operations inventory control team.
  • Runs monthly reports to validate forecast.
  • Researches variances and works directly with management to determine action plans.
  • Reports weekly metrics including past due POs, back orders, pending’s, etc.
  • Resolves vendor product, quality, or pricing disputes for all OEM and after-market parts purchased into the Ohio Machinery parts network.
  • Assists in coordinating periodic surplus returns of excess material to vendors and reviewing obsolete parts for final disposition.
  • Provides analysis of inventory control processes, including backorders.
  • Provides ad-hoc, daily, and monthly reporting on various inventory levels, transactions, and performance by location.
  • Works cooperatively with all parts of operations teams and superiors.
  • Participates in the required safety program and performs work safely.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, materials management, operations management, inventory control, or another related field is required.
  • Must have four years of experience in materials management, operations, or inventory control.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate to expert-level knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience working efficiently and effectively with cross-functional teams and remote peers is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, multi-tasking, planning, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are all required.

Physical Requirements:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
