The Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliation processes. This role ensures inventory integrity by adhering to established procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the materials department.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Follow SOPs and quality procedures to reconcile inventory variances.
  • Provide administrative support by inputting data into ERP system, back flush items, and correct in Unipoint.
  • Perform cycle counts according to a predefined schedule or as identified.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies between physical counts and system inventory.
  • Work with others to determine accuracy and root cause
  • Maintain location accuracy and resolve negative inventory issues.
  • Update cycle count classifications using ABC analysis.
  • Prepare inventory variance reports by product line showing what was counted, what is on hand, and what needs to be adjusted.
  • Create and manage Kanban cards.
  • Process material non-conformance reports.
  • Execute manual material withdrawals as needed.
  • Comply with Marion Body Works Inc. Quality Policy.


SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide backup support for Inventory Control and Warehousing teams.
  • Support production managers with part-related issues.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Marion Body Works’ product flow and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform administrative support or other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma.
  • 2 years of inventory management and reconciliation in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft office products
  • PC proficiency
