The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and accurately reporting all inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities. This role will lead and develop the warehouse team while ensuring operational efficiency, order accuracy, and safety. The Inventory Control Manager will collaborate across Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, coordinate and report inventory and shipping activities to ensure on-time delivery and order accuracy.
- Ensure all storage, handling and shipping activities are conducted in strict adherence to Enterprise Shipping Manual standards
- Responsible for inventory controls and counts. Ensuring proper storing, handling and staging of products by SKU, size, color, etc. in the warehouse and yard.
- Coordinate with Production Team to provide the Sales and Customer Service Team with information regarding shipment dates and shipping delays.
- Work closely with our 3rd Party Logistics partners to maintain visibility and accountability for all shipments.
- Continually develop operational practices to ensure all activities are performed in compliance with safe work standards .
- Inspires a culture of safety, 5S, LEAN and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that ERP(IQMS) data is accurate while assisting in maintaining new inventory items and BOMS (NJ location)
- Must be a Team Player and Team Builder.
Required Experience
- General Safety and Housekeeping Standards training.
- Quality training (defect identification and escalation) as asset.
- Experience loading and handling large items
- Extensive shipping/receiving and warehousing experience
- Experience directly managing employees and conducting performance appraisals.
- Forklift (PIV) certification; heavy equipment certification or experience preferred.
- Experience using year-round cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory and FGI locations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

Working knowledge of logistical and manufacturing safety requirements.

Experience with continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, OSHA 10, etc.) preferred.

Ability to design, implement, and manage computerized inventory control systems (RF scanners, barcodes) preferred.
Work Environment
- Exposure to typical manufacturing areas and varying temperatures.

Industrial lighting; loud noise levels; proximity to moving mechanical equipment.

Required PPE: safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed.

Long pants and steel-toed shoes are mandatory in production areas.
