Inventory Control Manager

Position Overview

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inventory-related functions, ensuring accurate tracking, proper storage, and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This role requires strong organizational skills, experience with inventory systems, and the ability to lead a team while working cross-functionally with purchasing, assembly, and shipping departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily inventory operations including receiving, storing, and distributing materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software (ERP systems)
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to forecast and plan material needs
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of all materials
  • Lead, train, and supervise inventory staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse area
  • Track and report on key metrics related to inventory accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of inventory management or warehouse experience
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and practices
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management software (NetSuite a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $ $55,000 – $75,000 annually (based on experience)

Schedule: Day shift with occasional overtime or weekends

Work Location: On-site in Salt Lake City, UT

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
