We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage all inventory operations within our warehouse/store. The Storekeeper will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and products, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining an organized, safe storage environment. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management & Control
- Maintain Stock Accuracy: Accurately track inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions using inventory management software (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions to maintain optimal inventory, preventing stockouts or excessive surpluses.
- Inventory Audits: Conduct regular (daily, weekly, monthly) physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Stock Rotation: Implement and enforce inventory control practices such as First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or Just-In-Time (JIT) to minimize spoilage, obsolescence, and deterioration.
2. Receiving and Storage
- Receiving Goods: Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes, checking for quantity, quality, and damage.
- Documentation: Process and distribute all receiving documentation accurately.
- Organization: Unpack, label, and safely store incoming materials in designated locations. Organize the store/warehouse to optimize space utilization and ensure easy accessibility.
- Preservation: Ensure the secure and proper storage of all items, taking into account factors like weight, temperature, and fragility.
