Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and optimize our inventory management processes. This role involves ensuring accurate stock levels, coordinating with supply chain and warehouse teams, and utilizing advanced data analytics tools to drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations, and data analysis, with proficiency in ERP systems and inventory control methodologies. Duties
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and discrepancy investigations to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to identify trends, root causes of stock issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations to optimize costs and supply reliability.
- Coordinate with logistics providers for shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Implement demand planning strategies utilizing supply chain analytics and forecasting models such as MRP to align inventory levels with business needs.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement in stocking, materials management, and warehouse operations to enhance efficiency.
- Manage category management activities including merchandising, pricing analysis, and supplier negotiations.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau for reporting inventory metrics and presenting insights to stakeholders.
- Support financial analysis related to inventory valuation, cost control, and procurement budgeting.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control roles within manufacturing or retail environments.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (e.g., AS400), and data analytics platforms such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, contracts management, and negotiation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment including forklifts is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in data collection, root cause analysis, process improvement initiatives, and demand planning.
- Excellent analysis skills complemented by proficiency in financial modeling and supply chain analytics tools like Nielsen or 3PL systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards. This role is integral to maintaining seamless inventory operations that support overall business success through strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and efficient warehouse management practices.

Pay: $23.75 - $28.60 per hour
