Position:
Wearparts is now accepting applications for a Materials Manager / Inventory Control with a positive attitude to join our team. This position will report to and work directly with our Financial Controller. They will be involved in every step of the material process from when the inbound shipments arrive on the dock all the way through until final finished product is put away on the shelf available for immediate shipment. They will oversee inbound shipment processes from shipment arrival, obtaining accurate counts, and properly storing the products. Inventory management is the largest aspect of this position. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and organization, as well as physical labor. The ability to properly measure product to ensure the correct parts are pulled is essential. Motor vehicle and forklift operation is required.
Primary Duties:
- Oversee inventory according to company guidelines.
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
- Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; trouble shoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
- Verification of incoming shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Prepare, generate, and file inventory reports, review reports monthly with management.
- Monitor transfer of inventory between locations
- Monitor reconciliation of physical and reported inventory
- Oversee RMA’s getting to final location
- Perform cycle counts on a regular schedule based on product classes and turnover rates
- Accurately measure bolt holes, axle diameters and blade dimensions
- Safely operate forklift
- A willingness to learn and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Nurture positive relationships with team members and provide customer service as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety procedures of warehouse
- Ensures OSHA and Industry compliance
Requirements:
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of inventory system
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. or greater and sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl repeatedly.
- Ability to count/measure accurately
- Forklift experience
- Familiarity with inventory management software and computer knowledge required
- HS Diploma
- Read and write English fluently
- Knowledge of relative safety standards
- Current/Valid Driver’s License
