Summary:

The Inventory Control/Material Control Specialist works with the Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to receive, oversee inventory, and supply material to Medical Device manufacturing teams and perform duties to support established procedure.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

  • Parcel and Freight receiving/shipping
  • Follow material handling procedures
  • Execute material transactions in ERP system
  • Fulfill material requests
  • Perform quarterly Cycle Counts
  • Purchase of general use supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness in workspaces
  • General data entry
  • Document scanning


General

  • Follow established safety procedures and perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Identify and diagnose problems and follow through to resolution.
  • Participate as a team member by assisting others by receiving and giving day to day feedback to ensure the achievement of quality results.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or as required to function as a member of the team.


Technical Skills:

  • Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access), Adobe Acrobat, internet and e-mail systems. Solid understanding of software capabilities and business applications associated with Grand Avenue Software.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently with changing priorities
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of computer databases and systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and filing skills.
  • Strong project and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull and/or move heavier items.
  • Ability to use and manage a pallet jack.


Education/Experience:

  • 2 years experience in inventory management preferred
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Fork lift certification beneficial
  • Understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA QSR.
