Inventory Coordinator

Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. This position is responsible for coordinating and controlling the handling and storage of raw materials, finished goods and labels through the warehouse by effectively using available resources. This position will also ensure accuracy of raw materials, finished goods and label inventories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, environmental rules, and regulations applicable to the position.

• Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.

• Reviews and prepares daily reports and cross-checks for production entry, off shift move sheets, shipments and receipts.

• Enter inventory adjustments as needed, performs route cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Manages Inventory levels to reduce old age/hold product and minimize storage.

• Works closely with receiving supervisor to help monitor inventories and assist as needed.

• Performs monthly physical inventory reconciliation and prepares/submits monthly reports.

• Assist logistic manager with inventory and shipping issues.

• Additional duties as assigned by warehouse supervisor, plant superintendent, or plant manager

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

Related Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry; Supervisory experience preferred.

Equipment/Software Skills: Proficient use of Excel, Word, Outlook, AS400/IBM or Inventory Management System.

Valuable Experience:

• Solid background in manufacturing and food processing industries, with experience in optimizing production processes and ensuring equipment reliability

Physical: Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties. Must be capable of working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and must be able to wear a respirator required.

Sensory:

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures
