Job Overview:

The Inventory Distribution Coordinator is highly analytical and detail oriented. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the flow of inventory from our manufacturing facility to various distribution center’s locations. Your primary goal will be to optimize inventory levels, ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time. You'll be a key player in our supply chain, using data and strong communication to maintain operational efficiency and meet customer demand.


Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Execution: Manage the physical movement and tracking of inventory across all distribution centers. Ensure inventory levels are maintained according to established min/max levels and that product is allocated correctly.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work directly with the manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to coordinate product availability and shipment schedules. Act as a key point of contact for all inventory-related inquiries.
  • System Management: Use our ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS) to process and track all inventory transfers (SCTs) and adjustments. Ensure data integrity is always maintained.
  • Exception Management: Proactively identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and other operational issues. Troubleshoot problems with distribution partners and internal teams to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Support the planning team by providing regular reports on inventory levels, transfer statuses, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Process Improvement: Actively look for opportunities to improve inventory processes and communication between departments to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Allocation & Replenishment: Strategically allocate finished goods from manufacturing to distribution centers and in between DC’s. Initiate and manage inventory transfers to balance stock and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as stock discrepancies, shipping delays, or allocation challenges.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, Logistics, supply chain, or a related field experience preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in inventory planning, distribution, or a similar supply chain role.
  • Licenses/Certifications: N/A.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong organizational skills: Analytical Skills, ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and create actionable plans. Proficiency with Excel or other data analysis tools is a must. Attention to Detail, meticulous and thorough, with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in inventory counts and data entry. Communication, excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to communicate effectively with various departments and stakeholders. Problem-Solving, a proactive and resourceful mindset, with the ability to anticipate and solve problems efficiently.
