Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Inventory Intake Manager to join our team in Lake Elsinore. This role is critical to the success of our inventory operations and serves as the first checkpoint for all incoming product. You will be responsible for verifying deliveries, reviewing invoices, ensuring system accuracy, and supporting compliance across all inventory intake processes.

This position reports directly to the Inventory Manager and works closely with inventory, operations, accounting, and vendor partners to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficiency in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming inventory deliveries and transfers
  • Confirm product quantities, SKUs, batch numbers, and condition against purchase orders, invoices, and manifests
  • Ensure all received inventory is compliant, properly labeled, and accurately entered into inventory and compliance systems
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and approve invoices for payment only after full verification
  • Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies such as shortages, overages, damaged, expired, or non-compliant product
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve intake issues, track credit memos, and follow up on returns or replacements
  • Quarantine defective or expired inventory and assist with documentation and resolution
  • Support FIFO inventory flow by staging, labeling, and organizing newly received product
  • Assist with audits, discrepancy investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives within inventory operations

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older and meet all state cannabis employment requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a compliance-driven environment
  • Comfortable working with inventory systems, POS platforms, and digital documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in inventory intake, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain roles preferred
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as cannabis, retail, or pharmaceuticals is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work under pressure
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and follow-through
