Inventory Lead

Reefer Madness Dispensary is seeking a full-time Inventory Lead to join our team at our 1995 S Broadway Denver dispensary location.

Our dispensaries offer curated selections of affordable, high-quality products and brands for our recreational and medical clients. We were voted, "Best Dispensary for a New Cannabis User" in 2023 and, "Best Dispensary for a Hash Head" in 2024 by Best of Westword.

The Inventory Lead is responsible for implementing and executing protocols in order to maintain inventory accuracy at all times within point-of-sale systems and METRC. This position works with the Retail Operations Manager and retail location managers to develop, update and review standard operating procedures, policies and operational guidelines to ensure that inventory is reconciled by the end of each business day and loss is mitigated.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain METRC inventory accuracy at all times at Building Better Days LLC’s 1995 S Broadway location.
• Collaborate with the Retail Operations Manager to ensure that effective systems are in place to monitor inventory and mitigate loss.
• Work with retail location manager to delegate inventory counts to ensure that accurate inventory is maintained, and perform audits on adjustment records as necessary.
• Participate in the training/development and education of retail team members regarding inventory-related processes and protocols.
• Assist in receiving/rejecting transfers, prepare transfers and reconcile package tags in METRC and the point of sale system.
• Print barcode labels for received inventory and ensure that point of sale product barcode labels are displayed correctly. Apply labels to products.
• Provide support to retail team members to correct inventory discrepancies (Inaccuracies, price-tier change, equivalencies, etc.) in a prompt and timely manner in order to maintain the flow of business.
• Maintain organization of sales floor and backstock safes/vaults (displays, bins, etc.) for effective restocks and product storage at the end of business.
• Transport METRC transfers between Building Better Days LLC two retail store locations and the cultivation facility.
• Ensure that all wasted cannabis is completed and documented by the end of each business day.
• Communicate insufficient inventory levels and aging inventory with the Retail Operations Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain communications with retail team members and managers.
• Help promote the company’s vision, and goals; lead by example.
• Other tasks as assigned

• General understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License (for product transport)
• Valid license plates on insured vehicle (for product transport)
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must pass any and all required background checks
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
• Annual METRC training and Responsible Vendor Training
• Must obtain and retain a state-issued Occupational License.

Minimum Education and Expierience:

• Ability to speak and read English, preferred
• Six months of previous leadership experience in an inventory position, preferred
• Six months of hands-on METRC experience, preferred
• Expert user of MS Excel
• Proficient user of Gmail, word, docs, sheets
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
• Must be able to look at a computer screen for long periods.
• Punctuality and attendance is of utmost importance as this is a retail operation with lots of working hours. Customers must be tended to in a timely manner. Adherence to the shift schedule is mandatory.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 25 pounds (50 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
