Inventory & Logistics Coordinator

About Livernois Motorsports

Livernois Motorsports provides Engineering Services, Performance Products, and Niche Vehicle Design and Manufacturing to the OE and Aftermarket Automotive Industry. Operating out of our 36,000-square-foot facility—which features a full engine machine shop, CNC machines, fabrication shop, and 15 vehicle hoists—we specialize in late-model Ford, GM, and Chrysler performance.

We manage an active online storefront, a brick-and-mortar showroom, a busy installation shop, and national wholesale accounts. We take pride in offering top-quality products, unparalleled service, and fast, efficient delivery to our customers.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of our products—from predicting stock needs to optimizing how orders leave our facility. This is a dual-focus role requiring a data-driven mindset for inventory planning and a hands-on approach to refining our shipping processes.

You will be responsible for ensuring our 15-hoist installation shop, retail showroom, and online store stay stocked with the right parts while overseeing our fulfillment workflows to guarantee that heavy freight (like crate engines and cylinder heads) and parcel shipments are dispatched rapidly, cost-effectively, and without errors.

Key Responsibilities: Inventory Forecasting & Procurement Support:

Analyze historical sales data, seasonal trends, and upcoming promotions to develop accurate inventory demand forecasts.

Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels across thousands of SKUs, balancing in-house manufactured components and vendor parts.

Utilize and optimize our Inventory Management System (ERP/MRP software) to ensure data integrity and track turnover rates.

Collaborate with the purchasing team to generate purchase orders based on forecast models and supplier lead times.

Work with our network of wholesale distributors and manufacturers to track shipping timelines and mitigate supply chain delays.

Shipping, Logistics & Process Optimization:

Evaluate and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for picking, packing, labeling, and staging shipments to maximize warehouse efficiency.

Coordinate complex logistics for heavy freight shipments (LTL), ensuring custom engines, exhaust systems, and machined components are properly palletized and compliant.

Serve as the primary contact for shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight lines) to monitor rates, resolve transit discrepancies, and manage claims.

Audit shipping costs and transit times regularly to ensure we are using the most efficient distribution channels.

Work closely with the customer service, sales, and build teams to troubleshoot any order fulfillment or tracking issues.

Train and support warehouse staff on shipping software, packaging protocols, and safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years in inventory control, demand planning, or warehouse logistics. Experience in the automotive aftermarket, performance parts, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

Logistics Skills: Proven experience handling standard parcel (UPS/FedEx) as well as LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight shipping.

Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in inventory/ERP software, shipping platforms (e.g., ShipStation or similar), and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data management).

Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and handle heavy automotive parts (up to 50+ lbs) and operate warehouse equipment (forklift experience a plus).

Industry Knowledge: A genuine passion for or deep understanding of late-model domestic performance vehicles (Ford, GM, Chrysler) is a significant advantage.

Traits: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
