Inventory & Logistics Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and process-driven Inventory & Logistics Manager to oversee all shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations for a growing 503A compounding pharmacy. This role is responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining compliant, scalable systems that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory adherence.

This individual will own the end-to-end logistics process—from vendor receipt to final shipment—while developing SOPs, improving workflows, and ensuring inventory integrity at all times.

Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Operations

  • Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments
  • Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and order verification
  • Manage shipping carriers and optimize delivery workflows
  • Implement and maintain shipping timelines and prioritization systems

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, including lot tracking and expiration dates
  • Establish and manage reorder points and vendor coordination
  • Perform cycle counts and full inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies

SOP Development & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and enforce SOPs for:
  • Receiving and quarantine procedures
  • Inventory storage and handling
  • Order fulfillment and shipping verification
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards (USP <795>, <797>, <800> as applicable)

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Build and refine inventory and logistics workflows
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions
  • Assist in selecting and optimizing inventory/software systems

Team Leadership (as applicable)

  • Train and manage shipping/warehouse personnel
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and performance expectations
  • Establish KPIs and accountability metrics

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in inventory, logistics, warehouse, or operations management
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple processes with high attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with sterile compounding workflows
  • Knowledge of cold chain or controlled shipping
