Gabb gives families a better choice for their kids’ first technology. Our product portfolio spans purpose-built hardware — Gabb Phone, Gabb Phone Plus, Gabb Phone 3 Pro, and Gabb Watch — alongside digital services including Gabb Music and Music+. Everything we build is designed to let families introduce technology in steps, giving kids connection without the harms of a fully open smartphone. We’re a fast-growing, mission-driven company headquartered in Lehi, Utah, and we sell across a growing network of channels that demands operational excellence at every level.
Gabb sells across a growing portfolio of channels including direct-to-consumer, Amazon, Buy with Prime, third-party marketplaces, Walmart, affiliates, and influencer-driven commerce — and sources hardware from global manufacturing partners. Our fulfillment model spans first-party logistics to third-party logistics.
This is a foundational role. Gabb's inventory function is growing in complexity. The Inventory Manager will assess what exists, close the gaps, and build the operational infrastructure to keep pace with where the business is going.
The Inventory Manager will build the systems, processes, and discipline that Gabb's inventory operations require: from demand forecasting and purchase order management through fulfillment execution across every channel. You will report directly to the COO. This is not a maintenance role. It is a builder role with lasting operational impact.
- Audit the current state of Gabb's inventory operations — stock positions, open POs, in-transit inventory, fulfillment gaps, and channel-level accuracy — and develop a clear picture of where things stand
- Design and implement an inventory management system and operating cadence that supports Gabb's multi-channel, multi-3PL model
- Establish SOPs for inventory receipt, tracking, allocation, replenishment, and reconciliation across 1PL and 3PL fulfillment partners
- Build reporting infrastructure that gives leadership real-time visibility into inventory positions, sell-through rates, and fulfillment health by channel
- Develop and own Gabb's demand forecasting model, incorporating historical sales data, channel velocity, promotional calendars, and seasonal patterns
- Build replenishment triggers and reorder logic for each channel — ensuring the right inventory is in the right place at the right time
- Manage purchase order creation, tracking, and confirmation with Gabb's hardware manufacturing partners and ensure inbound shipments are received, documented, and reconciled on time
- Proactively identified and escalate inventory risks: stockouts, overstock, delayed shipments, and fulfillment misallocations before they become customer-facing problems
- Own inventory allocation and positioning across all active sales channels: D2C, Amazon, Buy with Prime, third-party marketplaces, affiliates, and new retail channel launches as they come online
- Coordinate with the Amazon and marketplace teams to maintain accurate FBA inventory levels and avoid suppression or stockout penalties
- Support retail relationships with accurate sell-through reporting and replenishment planning that meets retail compliance requirements
- Plan and execute inventory positioning for new retail channel launches, coordinating supply with readiness ahead of go-live dates
- Partner with the Growth and Marketing teams to account for influencer and affiliate-driven demand spikes in forecast models
- Manage relationships with 3PL fulfillment partners holding them accountable for SLAs, inventory accuracy, and timely order fulfillment
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliations across all warehouse and 3PL locations to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Evaluate 3PL performance and escalate or recommend changes where partners are not meeting operational standards
- Coordinate inbound freight from manufacturer origin through to warehouse receipt, including documentation, customs coordination, and receiving confirmation
- Partner with Finance on inventory valuation, COGS accuracy, and landed cost tracking
- Work with the product and operations teams to align inventory planning with device launch timelines and product transitions
- Provide channel-level inventory data to Sales, Growth, and Marketing to inform promotional planning and campaign timing
- Report directly to the COO on inventory health, risk exposure, and operational progress on a regular cadence
- 5+ years of inventory management, supply chain, or operations experience in a consumer products, hardware, or multi-channel retail environment
- Demonstrated experience building inventory systems and forecasting processes — not just operating within existing ones
- Hands-on experience managing manufacturer relationships and inbound purchase orders in hardware or physical goods context
- Multi-channel experience is required: you have managed inventory across at least two of the following: Amazon/FBA, DTC, brick-and-mortar retail, or 3PL-based fulfillment
- Proficiency with inventory management software, ERP systems, or supply chain tooling; experience with integrating systems across multiple sales channels
- Strong command of Excel or Google Sheets for forecasting, modeling, and reconciliation; experience with BI or reporting tools are a plus
- Working knowledge of retail compliance requirements, including big-box vendor standards
- A systems builder: you assess what exists, identify the gaps, and design processes that hold up at scale
- Proactive and structured: you don't wait for problems to surface; you build the visibility to catch them early
- Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of creating order in a dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger operational picture
- A clear communicator who can translate inventory data into actionable insights for executive leadership and cross-functional partners
- Accountable — when something is missed, you own it, diagnose it, and fix the system so it doesn't happen again
- Motivated by the mission of a company that builds technology for families and kids
