Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Procurement Analyst to lead the design, execution, and ongoing refinement of our data-driven inventory and procurement strategy. Using Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains 2018), SQL, and advanced Power BI modeling, this role delivers actionable insights to maintain a 100% fill rate for owned inventory, prevent overstock, and optimize warehouse space utilization. The ideal candidate will combine technical data expertise with hands-on supply chain insight to improve procurement efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain Power BI data models and dashboards integrating ERP data via SQL and ETL processes.
  • Monitor and forecast inventory levels using DAX-driven metrics such as days of coverage, reorder alerts, and fill-rate projections.
  • Analyze warehouse capacity and SKU-level footprint to improve space utilization.
  • Track and analyze purchase order pipeline data, including supplier lead times, performance, and expected receipts.
  • Provide weekly SKU-level recommendations to balance service levels with working capital efficiency.
  • Identify process and data improvement opportunities and propose ERP/reporting enhancements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to translate analytics into business actions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management, procurement analytics, or supply chain analysis (preferably in food distribution, FMCG, or related sectors).
  • Advanced SQL proficiency, including query design and ETL workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 (inventory, purchasing, vendor management modules).
  • Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, modeling, and dashboard development.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to communicate insights clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with warehouse layout optimization and space-utilization analysis.
  • Knowledge of ABC/XYZ inventory classification, demand planning, and supplier performance KPIs.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
