Position Overview:
The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in managing inventory systems, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring the right quantity of goods is available to meet business demands. This position requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with departments such as production, procurement, and sales to maintain efficient operations. Accuracy, organization, and the ability to analyze inventory data are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual and digital tracking systems.
  • Track product movement, monitor stock levels, and forecast inventory needs.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to reorder stock, preventing shortages or overstocking.
  • Perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and report findings to management.
  • Accurately record inventory transactions in company systems with timely updates.
  • Process orders, manage returns, and track shipments to maintain proper stock levels.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, turnover rates, and product performance.
  • Maintain an organized storage system for efficient inventory management.
  • Work with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize the supply chain.
  • Follow safety regulations and company policies in all inventory operations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • High school diploma or GED (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related role, with familiarity in inventory management software (e.g., Global Shop, SAP).
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory counts, identify discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess inventory data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with knowledge of barcode scanning, RFID systems, and inventory management tools (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capability to lift and move products as required, with industry-specific experience in retail, manufacturing, or logistics (preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations

Hours of Operation:

Normal business hours:7:00AM – 4:00PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
  • Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
  • Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
  • Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
