Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain management and inventory control. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our inventory processes across warehouse distribution, procurement, and logistics operations. Duties
- Manage inventory levels through precise stock monitoring, demand planning, and cycle counting to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Utilize ERP systems such as Cin7 to track inventory transactions, update records, and generate reports for management review.
- Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials efficiently, negotiate pricing with suppliers, and manage contracts for optimal cost savings.
- Analyze supply chain data using Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen tools to identify trends, forecast demand, and support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by applying logistics best practices and category management principles to enhance warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel (including data visualization), Power BI or Tableau for analytics reporting.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as SAP or Oracle), and materials management software like MRPs.
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with experience in sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for process optimization.
- Valid forklift certification and experience with materials handling equipment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
