Inventory Specialist

Duties

• Manage inventory levels through precise stock monitoring, demand planning, and cycle counting to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Utilize ERP systems such as Cin7 to track inventory transactions, update records, and generate reports for management review.
• Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials efficiently, negotiate pricing with suppliers, and manage contracts for optimal cost savings.
• Analyze supply chain data using Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen tools to identify trends, forecast demand, and support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead process improvement initiatives by applying logistics best practices and category management principles to enhance warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel (including data visualization), Power BI or Tableau for analytics reporting.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as SAP or Oracle), and materials management software like MRPs.
• Excellent negotiation skills paired with experience in sourcing and procurement strategies.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for process optimization.
• Valid forklift certification and experience with materials handling equipment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $57,580.33 - $67,730.53 per year
