Inventory Specialist (Warehouse Assoc.)

River Valley Wine Cellars is the preferred storage facility of the NYC area's best wine collectors.

This role has many functions which means every day is a little different. Some days you'll focus on one task, some days you'll do a little bit of a few different things. But, here are the primary tasks associated with this job.

* Entering bottle information (Name, Vintage, etc.) that is on the bottle into the warehouse management system. We will teach you. Some knowledge of wine is very welcome but not required.

* Putting boxes of wine into bins according to their bin location

* Pulling boxes of wine off of bins according to work orders

* Greeting customers and vendors at the loading dock and assisting with either accepting wine from them or handing off wine to them.

* Packing or unpacking boxes of wine at off-site locations (clients' homes)

* Attending wine tasting events occasionally with rest of team (you do not have to)

* Representing River Valley Wine Cellars in a professional manner at all times.

* Ability to lift 50lb boxes repeatedly

* Ability to sit, stand and lift heavy boxes for consistent periods of time

* Great communication skills among team, clients and vendors that arrive at our facility

* Ability to use a manual pallet jack; electric Hi-Low machine; order picker; open a loading dock door

* Ability to drive a van (clean driving history) as a back up driver (very rare).

* Break down/tape up cardboard boxes; break down wood boxes; assist with keeping warehouse clean

The Ideal Candidate

* Will be able to show up on time every day and be available to work overtime (paid time and a half) as needed (rare).

* Will be able to communicate clearly with team and clients

* Will be a team player but can also work independently

* Will have good hygiene

* Will have a can-do attitude. Personality will be a factor as we are a small team.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
