About This Position


The Inventory/Accounting Analyst position has an important role in the organization. This position is responsible for inventory analysis, raw material forecasting and some accounts receivable. This person needs to have a strong attention to detail and an analytical mind set.

Specific Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Raw Material Forecasting
  • Aged Inventory Reporting
  • Material Handling Management
  • Inventory Control, Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid excess or shortages.
  • Assist in giving the purchasing department tools to assist with buying decisions.
  • Days on Hand Inventory Reporting
  • Track and Report Inventory Levels and Value
  • Produce reports on analyzing inventory costs vs sales
  • Work with Operations on using aged inventory in Production
  • Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Accounts Receivable Billing
  • Customer Statement Generation
  • Accounts Payable Payment Generation
  • Reconciling freight invoices in Shipwell system
  • Process and record any credit card expense transactions
  • Calculate and report month/year end accruals to Controller
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Assist with yearly audit, by pulling documents and compiling for review
  • Back-up for Accounting team members as needed
  • Contribute to the overall business performance by driving results on projects that you lead
  • Assist in special projects as needed

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar administrative role.
  • Ability to take direction and run with a concept
  • Has above average skills in customer service, excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Teams and ERP system experience preferred.
  • Must possess a high level of confidentiality
  • Can process items with the highest level of accuracy
  • Use analytical thinking to give summaries on all reports
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Be able to work with and contribute to the entire organization

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible: work in varying environments and with people from all backgrounds and levels in the organization

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or business management required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management preferred
  • 3-5 years of accounting, business, or equivalent experience

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be required to stand, sit, stoop, bend knee, lift up to 30 pounds, handle varying degrees of stress

Work Environment:

Primarily general office environment, with some production and freezer interaction:

  • While performing duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud; cold temperature.

Infrequent travel anticipated beyond the Delaware/Maryland area.

GMP Requirements:
Follows all provisions of Paris Foods GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense procedures and processes. Takes ownership of their role in the company’s GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense Programs by identifying and elevating any observations in violation of the policies.
