Investigative Support Specialist

Under direct or general supervision, the Investigative Support Specialist (I.S.S.) follows the guidelines established by the Administrative Services Manager and the unit supervisor, learns and performs a variety of non-sworn responsibilities to support the Police Department and its mission, and is responsible for operating within the Real Time Crime Center to disseminate critical information during ongoing incidents and developing situations. Responsibilities include piloting department drones to respond to calls for service, relaying pertinent information regarding ongoing incidents, identifying and creating investigative leads and generating crime data for department use.
