Private Investigator (Part-Time / Work From Home)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Private Investigator to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis. This role is ideal for individuals seeking additional income while working primarily from home. Most investigations will take place in Pensacola/Escambia County.

The investigator will be responsible for documenting scenes with photos, short videos, and measurements, and preparing clear, professional reports that summarize findings. Training will be provided, but all fieldwork and reporting will be performed independently.

Responsibilities

• Travel to investigation sites (primarily in Pensacola; occasional trips between Pensacola and Panama City).
• Take high-quality photos, measurements, and short video recordings at the scene.
• Observe and document relevant details with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prepare comprehensive, well-written reports from home that clearly outline investigative findings.
• Communicate findings in a professional and concise manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company protocols at all times.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable with technology, including using a smartphone or camera for photo/video capture and preparing digital reports.
• Reliable transportation for travel between Pensacola and Panama City as needed.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior investigative, inspection, or documentation experience is a plus (not required—training provided).
• Familiarity with measuring tools and basic scene documentation.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
