Investment Banking Managing Director

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Investment Banking Managing Director to lead client coverage, originate and execute transactions, and drive revenue growth across advisory and capital markets activities. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in building client relationships, sourcing deals, and mentoring junior bankers.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with corporate clients, family offices, sovereign entities, and institutional investors
  • Act as a trusted advisor on strategic transactions, including M&A, restructuring, and capital raising

Deal Origination & Execution

  • Source and originate new business opportunities across M&A, ECM, and DCM
  • Lead end-to-end execution of transactions, including structuring, negotiation, and closing
  • Oversee financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence processes

Revenue Generation

  • Meet and exceed annual revenue targets
  • Build a strong pipeline of deals and convert opportunities into mandates

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior bankers (Associates, VPs, Directors)
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture

Market & Industry Expertise

  • Maintain deep knowledge of regional and global market trends
  • Identify sector opportunities and provide strategic insights to clients

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Manage risk effectively across transactions

Requirements

Experience

  • 12–20+ years of investment banking experience, with a strong track record in deal origination and execution
  • Prior experience at a leading international or regional investment bank

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • MBA or CFA is highly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven ability to generate revenue and close complex transactions
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring
  • Strong network within the GCC market

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: BD75.000 - BD85.000 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
