Investment Banking Managing Director

The Investment Banking Managing Director leads client origination, deal execution, and revenue generation for the investment banking business. This senior role is responsible for building executive-level client relationships, winning mandates, and overseeing transactions across M&A, capital raising, restructuring, and strategic advisory.

Key responsibilities

  • Originate new business opportunities and win advisory or financing mandates.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with C-suite executives, boards, investors, and key market participants.
  • Lead major transactions from pitch stage through negotiation, execution, and closing.
  • Set strategy for the coverage or product group and support revenue growth targets.
  • Manage and develop senior bankers and junior teams, including analysts, associates, and vice presidents.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as legal, compliance, risk, and capital markets teams.

Required qualifications

  • Extensive investment banking experience, typically 15+ years.
  • Proven track record of originating and executing transactions.
  • Strong network of corporate, private equity, sovereign, and institutional clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership of deal teams and ability to mentor senior staff.
  • Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills, and market knowledge.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: QAR147.50 - QAR556.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
