Position: IOC Professional Fellows Program & Engagement Manager

The IOC Professional Fellows Program & Engagement Manager supports PMG’s goals, values, and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, quality service, commitment, and accountability. As a member of the PMG team, performance includes demonstration of the following accountabilities: communication, teamwork, and job knowledge. The position performs high-level administrative and management duties necessary to provide member services management to professional societies managed by Parthenon Management Group. This individual is goal-oriented with a majority focus on growing and diversifying the membership of PMG clients. IOC Professional Fellows Program & Engagement Manager is committed to collaboration to help mobilize resources through meaningful engagement.

Additionally, this individual is results driven with a firm dedication to shared and measurable goals for the collective good, creating, resourcing, scaling, and leveraging strategies and innovations so that PMG remains a leader in the growth and retention of association membership.

This role is responsible for the growth, engagement, retention, and overall experience of the IOC Professional Fellows community through strategic programming, relationship management, and member engagement initiatives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following but are not limited to:

Professional Fellows Engagement & Member Experience

  • Lead implementation of IOC Professional Fellows engagement initiatives in partnership with the Association Manager to advance the IOC mission and strengthen member engagement.
  • Serve as the primary operational lead for the IOC Professional Fellows program, ensuring the Professional Fellows receive a high-touch, premium membership experience.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the IOC Professional Fellows benefits, services, and engagement opportunities to increase perceived member value and long-term retention.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the IOC Professional Fellows to better understand their professional interests, needs, and expectations.
  • Develop and implement strategies that strengthen engagement, participation, recognition, and overall satisfaction among IOC Professional Fellows.
  • Collaborate with leadership, committees, and PMG to strategically monitor and implement membership initiatives and committee-driven activities.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance the visibility and prestige of the IOC Professional Fellows program through collaboration with membership, marketing, communications, and leadership teams.

Program Development & Strategic Initiatives

  • Oversee, manage, and implement the Professional Fellows benefits, recognition initiatives, and engagement activities associated with the Bi-Annual Meeting and year-round programming.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, member communications, and program delivery to create a seamless and elevated Fellow experience.
  • Develop and oversee educational offerings, webinars, networking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives tailored to Professional Fellows.
  • Support the growth and evolution of the Fellows category through data-informed recommendations, benchmarking, and member feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing and membership teams to develop targeted campaigns and communications that reinforce the value of IOC Fellowship.

Membership Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain accurate membership databases, records, and reporting related to the IOC Professional Fellows' engagement and participation.
  • Monitor and report on key membership metrics including:
  • Retention Rate
  • Member Acquisition Cost
  • Lifetime Member Value
  • Engagement Metrics
  • Growth & Decline Trends
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve member retention, engagement, and overall Professional Fellows' growth based on data insights, community engagement, and member feedback.
  • Analyze member feedback and engagement data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased member value.
  • Prepare regular reports and strategic insights for leadership and stakeholders.

Organization Mission and Strategy:

  • Work collaboratively with IOC leadership and PMG teams to ensure organizational goals and mission-driven initiatives are effectively implemented.
  • Support strategic initiatives that strengthen the Professional Fellows community and enhance IOC’s visibility and leadership within the coaching profession.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate with aligned organizations and industry professionals when appropriate to expand visibility and impact.
  • Help cultivate a culture of innovation, service excellence, and member-centered engagement.

Organization Operations:

  • Manage, support, and implement IOC Professional Fellows-related programs, activities, and communications that advance the organization’s mission.
  • Ensure membership systems, engagement tools, and communication platforms operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan and manage timely, accurate, and consistent communication with Professional Fellows and member leaders.
  • Oversee website content, digital resources, and member communications related to the Professional Fellows program to ensure consistency, engagement, and member value.
  • Collaborate with PMG marketing to develop materials, campaigns, and social media initiatives that promote Professional Fellows' engagement and visibility.
  • Participate in regular team and departmental meetings to support organizational priorities and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Operate within approved budgets and maximize available resources for programs and initiatives.

Additional duties as required:

  • Contribute to strategic projects and organizational initiatives in partnership with the Association Manager and Membership Manager.
  • Participate in PMG training and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to cultivating a positive workplace culture through collaboration, innovation, and participation in internal initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional PMG projects and operational priorities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the success and growth of the IOC Professional Fellows program.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year university or equivalent experience.
  • Transparent and high integrity membership management
  • Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation.
  • Skills to collaborate with and motivate committee members and other volunteers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are important.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff.
  • Detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Travel is required.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position can be local in an office setting, fully remote, or hybrid that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. On occasion, the individual must be able to do moderately demanding physical activity such as handling and opening boxes weighing 35-40 pounds, standing, and walking extensively throughout the day. Limited to moderate travel is required.
