iOS Software Engineer (Mid)

Deltatre’s iOS development team builds applications to run on millions of iPhones, iPads and Apple TVs and provides the best user experience for watching video on-demand (movies and series) and live sport streams.

As an iOS engineer, you will pioneer new ways for consumers to interact with technology and deliver world-class experiences on emerging technologies working for major sports organisations, rights owners, media companies, and some of the world’s leading broadcasters.

As a Mid-Level Engineer, you will contribute to the development of new user-facing features, help build reusable components and libraries for future use, translate designs and wireframes into high quality code, and optimize components for maximum performance across a range of devices. You will collaborate with other developers across regions, adhering to and contributing to Deltatre Engineering procedures, code conventions and best practices.

For this role you must be able to work on a hybrid basis with at least 2 days working in the Mumbai office in Goregaon.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features for iOS using Swift and SwiftUI
• Contributing to building reusable components and libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code
• Optimizing components for performance across a range of devices and screen sizes including mobiles, tablets, and TVs
• Collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to analyze and implement technical requirements
• Participating in technical discussions and proactively raising potential challenges or improvements
• Writing unit tests and contributing to maintaining code quality through reviews and documentation
• Following established engineering procedures, code conventions, and best practices
• Staying up to date with iOS development trends and sharing insights with the team

A Software Engineer with a love for technology, and:

• 3 years of relevant work experience as iOS Engineer
• Recent, hands-on experience with SwiftUI framework
• Proficiency in Swift
• Good understanding of the Apple system Frameworks like Foundation, UIKit, AVFoundation, StoreKit and more
• Practice of Unit Testing using XCTest
• Familiarity with Apple app submission, code signing and iTunes account administration
• A knack for instrumentation testing and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git and build automation systems
• Familiarity with Alamofire, BrightFutures, emitter-kit, Kingfisher
• Build Automation and Continuous integration
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Experience working for a global employer
