Qualification

B.Tech/M.Tech in Embedded Systems, ECE, Avionics, or related fields.

Strong experience in RTOS/firmware development, low-level driver integration, and embedded security.

Hands-on experience with drone avionics, sensor interfaces, and hardware-software integration.

Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, LoRa, etc.) and edge gateway integration is desirable.

Knowledge of TPM-based security, secure boot, and OTA firmware update mechanisms preferred.

Job description

Lead the design and development of the UAV embedded software stack, including firmware, RTOS, and middleware components

Define high-level architecture and ensure seamless system integration across flight controllers, avionics, sensors, and payload subsystems.

Collaborate closely with hardware teams to ensure synchronized hardware–software development and optimized performance.

Harden embedded operating systems/RTOS and integrate secure drivers for IMU, GPS, camera, telemetry modules, and mission-critical sensors.

Implement TPM-based cryptographic services, secure boot, and secure key storage for end-to-end data protection.

Drive decisions on telemetry protocols, edge/cloud communication interfaces, and secure OTA update frameworks.

Optimize embedded performance for real-time operation, fault tolerance, and secure communications.

Mentor junior engineers, review code/design, and guide best practices in embedded software development.

Support UAV cybersecurity initiatives, including IDS/IPS integration, secure communication channels, and device provisioning.

Contribute to IoT device integration, sensor fusion, and gateway connectivity for UAV mission systems.
