Role Description

Our firm is seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized intellectual property (IP) Docketing Specialist to assist in managing and maintaining our IP docketing system. This is a full-time remote role at Ward Law Office LLC, with this position being critical to the smooth operation of our practice, ensuring that all deadlines are accurately tracked and met across U.S. and foreign patent and trademark matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of IP docketing experience and a strong understanding of patent and trademark procedures. We are looking for someone who thrives in a structured and deadline‑driven environment, and enjoys supporting a small, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Legal knowledge and understanding of the U.S. and foreign patent and trademark process
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is required (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Minimum of 2 years IP docketing experience
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with AppColl docketing software is preferred
