Iron Worker - 3rd Shift

We are seeking an Iron Worker on 3rd shift for our Garden Grove, CA Plant.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Shift: 3rd 10:00pm - 6:30am

Location Summary:

Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times and work with structural steel, reinforcing steel, ornamental iron, and other metal components needed to assemble and install buildings and structures. Our Garden Grove Plant is primarily making large strut assemblies supplied to the construction industry.

Job Summary:

As an Iron Worker, responsibilities include adhering to standard operating procedures and safety protocols while interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of structural components. The role involves cutting, shaping, and modifying metal parts using various hand and power tools such as shears or saws.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials as necessary.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Good time management and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Capable of utilizing basic math skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Hilo certified or able to become certified in operating lift equipment.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Welding knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation as you will frequently and repetitively be required to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or sit and reach with hands and arms. May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment. Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.
