Ironworker, Welder

Job Description

AMC Metal Works performs fabrication and installation of miscellaneous/structural steel. We are looking for a motivated, positive mindset worker that wants to be a part of a growing company. Willing to learn and eager to expand skills, this person will work along side other employees at times fabricating steel items, helping each other along the way. We are currently seeking ironworkers willing to work in the field that have experience and insist on installs. Past experience with steel, reading/understanding steel drawings is a must. It all starts with reliability, we ensure all our employees are reliable above all.

Qualifications
·Basic understanding of welding & fabrication
·Ability to read and understand blueprints, assembly drawings, etc.
·Ability to work independently & in a team environment
·Must have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, work from heights and lift up to 50+ pounds multiple times per day

Tasks/Expected Duties;

• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
• Part lay out, mock up, from drawings
• Competent in problem solving and self performing tasks
• Fabricate and weld Steel Items, mig/stick
• Operate power tools, including but not limited to saws, grinders, and drills
• Utilize forklift for material handling when required

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
