Irrigation and Landscape Technician

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using mechanical knowledge and power tools to ensure optimal water distribution.
• Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, fertilizing, and weed control to promote healthy growth.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment such as excavators and lawnmowers safely and efficiently for landscaping projects.
• Conduct site inspections to identify issues with irrigation or landscape health and implement timely solutions.
• Assist with construction projects related to landscape installation or upgrades, utilizing excavation equipment when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including system repairs, maintenance schedules, and project progress.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems and landscaping equipment.
• Experience with irrigation installation, repair, and maintenance processes.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest management.
• Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, planting, mulching, and soil preparation.
• Familiarity with landscaping design principles and horticulture fundamentals.
• Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., shovels, pruners) as well as power tools (e.g., trimmers, blowers).
• Experience operating construction machinery like excavators for site preparation or large-scale landscaping projects.
