Irrigation Engineer

Irrigation Engineer with 3 to 5 Years experience responsible for the Design, execution, and management of irrigation systems for distributing water to landscapes and other areas.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The duties of an irrigation engineer vary but generally include the following:

• Planning and Design: Meeting with clients and other engineers to discuss project objectives; analyze existing site surveys and Landscape plans to develop efficient, cost-effective irrigation infrastructure such as pipelines, drip irrigation and Sprinkler systems.
• Technical Analysis: Computing water flow rates, load and grade requirements, and material stress factors to determine design specifications, often using software like AutoCAD and GIS. Plan and designs irrigation fixtures & installation of fixtures to requirements specifications
• Construction Oversight: Directing and supervising the construction and installation of irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards.
• Project Management: Preparing site plans, specifications, bills of quantities (BoQ), cost estimates. Manage budgets and timelines. Exploring innovative water-saving technologies, such as drip and sprinkler systems, to improve efficiency.
• Maintenance and Monitoring: Monitoring the performance of existing systems, troubleshooting issues, and recommending improvements or upgrades.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising with, contractors, and associations to ensure project success and provide training on operation and maintenance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD), knowledge of hydraulics and soil science, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, project management, and data analysis skills are essential for coordinating with diverse stakeholders and managing projects effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
