Irrigation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Irrigation Engineer to design, supervise, and manage irrigation systems for landscaping projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of irrigation design, hydraulic calculations, installation supervision, and system maintenance, ensuring efficient water management and high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Irrigation Design & Planning

• Design efficient irrigation systems for landscaping projects including drip, sprinkler, bubbler, subsurface, and automated irrigation systems.
• Prepare irrigation layouts, hydraulic calculations, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Select suitable irrigation equipment, pumps, valves, controllers, filters, and related components.
• Ensure irrigation designs comply with project specifications, water conservation standards, and UAE regulations.

Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise installation and execution of irrigation systems on site.
• Ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Monitor excavation, pipe laying, valve chamber installation, controller setup, and testing activities.
• Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors for smooth execution.

System Testing & Maintenance

• Oversee testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Identify system issues and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure proper water distribution, pressure management, and system performance.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Coordination & Technical Support

• Coordinate with landscape architects, project managers, consultants, MEP teams, and suppliers.
• Provide technical guidance to supervisors, technicians, and installation teams.
• Review technical drawings and resolve site-related technical issues.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution strategies.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Conduct inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution.
• Ensure compliance with UAE municipal regulations, water usage guidelines, and safety standards.
• Monitor material quality and installation practices on site.

Cost & Resource Management

• Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Monitor material usage and support procurement activities.
• Assist in controlling project costs and reducing material wastage.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, testing records, and technical documentation.
• Maintain records of project activities, drawings, approvals, and maintenance schedules.
• Provide regular updates to management and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven UAE experience in irrigation design and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, hydraulic calculations, pumps, valves, and automation systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, irrigation design software, and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Good communication and leadership abilities.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.

• Knowledge of water conservation practices and sustainable irrigation solutions.
• Experience in landscaping and infrastructure projects.
