Irrigation/ Landscape Business Development

Position Overview

Irri Development Group is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to lead growth efforts for our commercial landscape and irrigation divisions. This role is responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, securing maintenance and installation contracts, and expanding our presence within HOA, resort, commercial, and mixed-use markets.

The ideal candidate understands the landscape and irrigation industry, thrives on building long-term client relationships, and is motivated by performance-based growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new commercial landscape and irrigation opportunities
  • Develop relationships with property managers, HOAs, resorts, general contractors, and developers
  • Track and respond to RFP opportunities
  • Prepare and present service proposals in collaboration with operations team
  • Lead client meetings and site walks
  • Negotiate contracts and close new business

Strategic Growth

  • Support expansion into new service lines and markets
  • Assist with pricing strategy and competitive positioning
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities between landscape and irrigation divisions
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary contact for prospective clients
  • Ensure smooth handoff from sales to operations
  • Maintain long-term client relationships to support renewals and upsells
  • Attend industry networking events and community meetings

Brand & Market Presence

  • Represent Irri Development Group with professionalism and integrity
  • Support marketing initiatives and strategic outreach
  • Strengthen company visibility within Central Florida and target markets

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Experience in landscape maintenance, irrigation, construction, or related industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial service contracts and bidding processes
  • Ability to read site plans and understand scope of work (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and performance-driven
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial landscape maintenance contracts
  • Irrigation system upgrades or installations
  • HOA / Resort / Property Management markets
  • RFP response experience
  • CRM software experience

Compensation Structure

  • Base Salary + Commission Structure
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (if applicable)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,570.51 - $65,719.33 per year
