Irrigation Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Irrigation Manager
to oversee all irrigation operations, ensuring efficient water use, system reliability, and high-quality results. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, excellent planning abilities, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily irrigation schedules and adjust based on weather, soil conditions, and crop/landscape needs.

Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems and equipment.

Monitor water usage to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.

Troubleshoot system issues, including leaks, pressure problems, and controller faults.

Lead, train, and supervise irrigation staff or field crews.

Maintain accurate records of water usage, maintenance logs, and system performance.

Collaborate with management, agronomists, or landscapers to optimize irrigation strategies.

Ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed at all times.
Qualifications
-
Proven experience in irrigation management, irrigation technician work, or related field.

Strong understanding of drip, sprinkler, and automated irrigation systems.

Ability to read plans, maps, and irrigation schematics.

Excellent troubleshooting and leadership skills.

Valid driver’s license; irrigation certification is a plus (CIT, CIC, etc.).

Physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $100,000

Qualifications
-
Possess a valid Florida driver’s license is required
-
High School diploma /GED
-
Experience as an irrigation technician for 2-5 years
-
2 forms of ID required
-
Able to communicate in English both spoken and written
-
Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
-
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions if it’s safe
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
-
Conduct scheduled monthly irrigation inspections
-
Ability to troubleshoot wiring issues
-
Ability to upgrade existing irrigation systems
-
Ability to install new irrigation systems
-
Complete paperwork in an orderly and timely manner
-
Maintain vehicle and equipment clean and in good working order
-
Communicate with managers daily before and after the job completion
-
Work independently or on a team as required
This is a full-time position. Salary commensurate with experience.
