Irrigation Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Irrigation Specialist to join our landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and healthy landscapes. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions, ensuring systems operate efficiently.
• Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to optimize water coverage based on landscape needs and seasonal requirements.
• Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation plans seamlessly with ongoing lawn care and landscaping activities.
• Maintain detailed records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance schedules for accountability and future reference.
• Assist in landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, pruning, and general horticulture duties as needed.
• Follow safety protocols diligently when operating machinery like excavators or power tools during installation or repair projects.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation components, pumps, valves, and controllers.
• Experience with irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance procedures, and general landscaping principles.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment including excavators.
• Familiarity with horticulture basics to support healthy plant growth alongside irrigation efforts.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics related to irrigation layouts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
