Irrigation Technician - Lead

General Purpose of the Position: Complete client needs for their irrigation systems and direct other crew members to successfully service our customers high quality work in an efficient manner

Requirements or Experience Necessary: Driver’s License; Leadership skills; 2 years of irrigation experience; High school diploma or GED equivalent; Time management skills

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Plan and manage the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectives
• Ensure equipment and tools are fueled and loaded before each work day begins
• Complete job duties related to irrigation systems such as starting up a system, shutting down a system and regular service maintenance
• Install irrigation systems based on specifications provided while organizing delivery and collection of materials needed to ensure swift completion of project
• Ability to operate equipment and drive a truck and trailer
• Perform equipment inspections to maintain clean, oiled, and greased equipment
• Manage timesheets for crew in software
• Organize vehicle supplies and inventory to reduce wasted time running for supplies
• Maintain levels of inventory at shop for easy access to larger items
• Follow procedures for broken equipment and tools
• Communicate work hours to rest of crew members to begin work days on schedule
• Complete the schedule for each day to the best of your ability while ensuring quality and efficiency
• Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or rework due to quality or customer satisfaction issues
• Train crew members on proper and safe job methods
• Communicate with customers in a police and courteous manner
• Uphold policies and procedures to improve efficiency and company culture

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

• Irrigation: 2 years (Required)
