Irrigation Technician - Maintenance

Nature Designs Landscaping is a trusted, high-end residential landscape company serving San Diego’s coastal communities for over 30 years. We’re looking for an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our maintenance division and take ownership of irrigation care across our portfolio of 70+ residential accounts.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain irrigation systems, including rotors, spray heads, valves, drip systems, and controllers
• Perform routine system audits and seasonal adjustments to ensure water efficiency
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues on residential irrigation systems
• Complete irrigation repair forms accurately and communicate findings to the maintenance team
• Respond to client-reported irrigation concerns with professionalism and timeliness
• Coordinate with the maintenance manager on scheduling, parts, and allowances per client contract

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on irrigation repair and maintenance experience
• Proficiency with major controller brands (Rain Bird, Hunter, Weathermatic)
• Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and as-builts
• Strong troubleshooting skills for wiring, valve, and pressure issues
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean record
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
