Irrigation/Landscape Technician

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and landscape health
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as pruning, planting, mulching, and weed control to enhance aesthetic appeal
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators safely and effectively for various landscaping projects
• Assist with construction projects related to landscape features or irrigation infrastructure, ensuring quality craftsmanship
• Conduct regular inspections of systems and landscapes to identify issues early and implement timely solutions
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and system adjustments for ongoing client support

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation components and landscape equipment
• Experience with irrigation installation, repair, and programming is highly desirable
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance procedures such as pruning, planting, mulching, and weed control
• Proficiency in using hand tools (shovels, pruners), power tools (trimmers, blowers), and heavy machinery (excavators) safely
• Understanding of horticulture principles to promote healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices
• Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors on construction or landscaping sites
