Pueo has four career environments where every member of the parliament can participate. Each environment has opportunities available for all levels. Our Career Environments (Program, Functional, Service, and Leadership) provide numerous opportunities for employees to invest in their personal growth and those things that offer fulfillment. We invest in helping our members create and execute their career development plans. Our Pods (small teams of 5 or less) are comprised of personnel with similar skillsets to ensure mentorship, understanding, and peer support.

The ISSE shall be a technical subject matter expert; the ISSE is responsible for:

Security Architecture Design: Architecting secure solutions for USAFA information systems that meet or exceed DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements Engineering: Capturing, refining, and integrating cybersecurity requirements into system designs throughout the system lifecycle.

RMF Integration: Supporting the implementation of DoDI 8510.01 by embedding security controls into system architecture and ensuring traceability to NIST SP 800-53.

Technical Advisory: Providing expert guidance to stakeholders on secure system design, control implementation, and risk mitigation strategies.

Independent Engineering Support: Operating independently of ISSMs and ISSOs, with a focus on engineering rigor and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications: At least five (5) years of experience in the field.

Degree Requirements (if applicable) Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited or Certified Association Executive (CAE) designated institution

Certification Requirements (if applicable): CISM or CISSO or FITSP-D or GCIA or GCSA or GCLD or GDSA or GICSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP
