The Role
We’re hiring a Microsoft 365 Administrator to own our Microsoft cloud environment and endpoint platform—Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Exchange Online, and Teams—and to run practical endpoint security operations day to day.
You’ll be the internal owner for Microsoft admin work: identity lifecycle, access governance (at a practical level), device compliance, configuration baselines, and user support. You’ll also coordinate with external security consultants when deeper security work is required.
This is not a people-management role and not an audit/GRC-heavy position.
Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 & Identity Administration (Core)
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure Entra ID.
- Own the full employee lifecycle: user and device creation, onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
- Manage SSO and access control for SaaS tools: * Configure and maintain Enterprise Applications
- Assign users and groups with the correct permissions
- Ensure access is removed promptly during offboarding
- Administer Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams (accounts, mailboxes, groups, shared mailboxes, Teams access).
- Maintain clear documentation and runbooks for onboarding, offboarding, and standard IT processes.
Endpoint Management & Security
- Manage company devices using Intune (enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment).
- Deploy patches and configuration changes to remediate endpoint vulnerabilities.
- Ensure baseline device security (disk encryption, screen lock, antivirus/EDR deployment where applicable).
Vulnerability Tracking & Security Coordination
- Use tools such as Vanta to track and close endpoint-related security findings (patching, policies, evidence).
- Coordinate with external security consultants and internal teams (DevOps, HR) to ensure findings are resolved on time.
- Support basic incident handling by escalating and coordinating when needed.
Global IT Support
- Act as the primary IT point of contact for employees across different countries and time zones.
- Troubleshoot access, device, and productivity issues in English.
Requirements
Must-Have
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure Entra ID.
- Practical experience with user onboarding/offboarding, access management, and permissions.
- Experience managing SSO and Enterprise Applications.
- Hands-on Intune experience (device enrollment, policies, patching).
- Comfortable working independently in a startup environment.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Nice-to-Have (Not Required)
- Familiarity with Vanta or similar tools for tracking security/compliance tasks.
- Basic security hygiene knowledge (MFA, device compliance, least privilege).
- Startup or scale-up experience.
- Microsoft certifications.
You do not need deep knowledge of ISO, SOC2, or security frameworks — you’ll work with external specialists when needed.
