GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The IT Asset Administrator is responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of technology-related hardware within the organization, including planning, procurement, monitoring, and tracking hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. This position assists in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spending across the organization and will develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets throughout their life cycles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage tracking and inventory of all technology related assets, including desktops, laptops, network equipment, IP phones, and printers. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
2. Oversee the development, maintenance, and execution of the asset management program, including policies, processes, procedures, tools, and reporting. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
3. Establish standards and life cycle management of technology related assets spanning from asset selection to refresh and disposal. This duty is performed quarterly, about 5% of the time.
4. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of asset information by leveraging reporting and metrics dashboards. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
5. Manage vendor relationships with third-party suppliers of technology equipment. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
6. Develop and oversee technology asset decommission process, including creating disposal procedures and maintaining documented records of disposal. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time.
7. Manage vendor relationships with third-party asset disposal partners, including vendor selection and due diligence, and verifying proper disposal within bank standards. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
8. Oversee the Inventory Specialist position to ensure accurate completion of duties, including purchase order generation, hardware/software purchasing, and asset disposal. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
9. Manage projects involving hardware acquisition, move, or disposal, including branch refresh and mergers/acquisitions. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
10. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
11. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
12. Occasionally work from the corporate office reception desk, performing basic reception duties such as answering phones, greeting visitors, and signing for deliveries. This duty is performed as needed, about 15% of the time.
13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; ability to write and speak simple sentences as a means for basic communication. ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
