IT Asset Engineer

Role Overview

The IT Asset Management is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets with greater independence and accountability. This role involves ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing asset utilization, and supporting governance initiatives. The Specialist will act as a bridge between IT operations, procurement, and finance, providing insights and recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement, and disposal).

- Maintain and improve the accuracy of the IT asset repository and configuration management database (CMDB).

- Conduct regular audits of hardware and software assets to ensure compliance with licensing and contractual obligations.

- Analyze asset data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.

- Develop and enforce IT asset management policies, standards, and procedures.

- Collaborate with procurement and vendors to negotiate licensing agreements and renewals.

- Provide detailed reports and dashboards on asset utilization, compliance, and cost savings..

- Support IT governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

- 2–4 years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, or related IT operations.

- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software licensing models, and vendor management.

- Proficiency in ITAM/ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, Flexera, Lansweeper).

- Solid analytical and reporting skills, with experience in MS Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.

- Understanding of ITIL framework, especially IT Asset Management and Configuration Management.

Preferred Skills

- Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., CAMP, CHAMP) or ITIL Foundation.

- Experience with ERP systems and procurement processes.

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
