Job Summary:
The role involves implementing best practices in asset governance, cost optimization, compliance, and risk management while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient IT asset utilization.
Job Responsibilities:

Develop and enforce IT asset management policies and procedures.

Manage the procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and retirement of IT assets.

Ensure accurate asset inventory records and maintain an up-to-date IT asset database.

Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, vendor contracts, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular audits of IT assets to identify discrepancies and mitigate risks.

Develop strategies to reduce IT asset costs and optimize resource utilization.

Work with procurement teams to negotiate vendor contracts and agreements.

Provide financial analysis and reporting on IT asset expenditures and lifecycle costs.

Oversee software asset management (SAM) to ensure proper licensing, renewals, and compliance.

Manage hardware refresh cycles, warranty tracking, and disposal procedures.

Mitigate risks associated with data breaches, theft, and asset misuse.

Collaborate with IT security teams to align asset management with cybersecurity policies.

Maintain strong relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and suppliers.

Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Track IT asset depreciation and financial reporting for accounting compliance.

Develop and maintain IT asset reports, dashboards, and analytics.

Lead a team of IT asset coordinators, analysts, and support staff.

Collaborate with IT infrastructure, security, procurement, and finance teams.

Provide training and awareness programs on IT asset management best practices.
Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in IT asset management, preferably in a large enterprise or financial institution.

Experience in software asset management (SAM) and hardware lifecycle management.

Strong understanding of IT procurement, vendor management, and IT financials.

Knowledge of IT asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, SCCM, Lansweeper, Ivanti).

Experience with cloud asset management and SaaS licensing.
